Bluegrass Fiddle with Mark Weeg

Mark Weeg, a local favorite fiddle player,  will be leading a bluegrass fiddle workshop.   Mark has fiddled in styles that range from Irish and Scottish to Cajun and bluegrass reflecting the many bands he has played with over the years.  He is also a composer and collector of fiddle tunes in addition to being the published author of Mel Bay “Violinist’s Guide to Fiddling”.

Blues Fiddle with Howie Lester

Learn from one of the masters of many styles of fiddle playing Howie Lester.  Howie will guide you in learning the intricacies of the blues scale and more.  All skill levels are welcome to join.

Clawhammer Banjo with Ben Haravitch

Join Ben Haravitch from The Brothers Blue and The Crawdiddies as he teaches you the rhythmic strumming style of claw hammer banjo.  Learn from the best about the down-picking style and the claw-like hand shape of the claw hammer technique.   All levels of players are welcome.

Penny Whistle with Joe Dady

Join Joe Dady as he teaches you how to play the Penny Whistle.  Penny whistle is becoming increasingly popular since it is fun and easy to learn.  Enjoy playing tunes around the camp fire or at your next family jam session. Share your new found skill at the All Jam session at the end of the day.   Penny whistles will be available to purchase at the band merchandise table.  We’re all looking forward to hearing you play.

Songwriting with John Dady

Learn from the pro John Dady about composing a song.  John will guide the group along the creative process of composition.  Tap into your creative spirit as you learn the basics of writing lyrics, and how to create a melody to go with. Who knows, we might even hear a new song at the All Jam!
